What to Look For in Your Facial Moisturizer
Many women are working hard and trying to take excellent care of their skin, but let’s be honest, how much time do you spend on your skin? Is your facial moisturizer making you frustrated with the amount of time you spend flapping from one product to another?
If so, then it’s time to stop wasting money and start caring for your skin in a moreicrobial and protective way. After all, your skin does absorb food, and in turn, that food gets into your bloodstream. You may not realize it, butdd you mean to feed your bloodstream. So if you want to protect your health, you must educate yourself, and feed your skin.
The large commercial companies are not particularly concerned with this, but there are small niche companies that have bravely skipped theBig Commercial backed bandwagon, and instead rely on their word that their facial moisturizer is better than 99% of the products out there. More then likely, it is no more than a marketing ploy.
If you are serious about feeding your skin, then here are a few tips that will help.
1) Look for facial moisturizers that contain all natural ingredients. By this, I mean ingredients that are derived from nature, such as plant sources. For example, Jojoba is a very good oil for moisturizing the skin, and its molecular makeup is very similar to that of human sebum, so it blends in well with our skin care.
2) Jojoba is not a common ingredient in the moisturizers on the market, but it is starting to show up in more and more products. One reason is that it helps to balance the skin’s sebum production. When the skin’s sebum production is out of balance, the skin pores become more clogged.
3) Look for facial moisturizers that contain a formulation of CoQ10, which has the ability to penetrate deeply into the skin and help destroy damaging free radicals that are out to damage our skin.
4) The best moisturizers for the skin are those that contain only natural ingredients. Synthetics can result in more damage to the skin’s health and appearance after prolonged use.
I have sensitive skin and don’t use any products that contain parabens, perfumes or alcohol. I’ve also found that the mineral oil often used in moisturizers is a major culprit. So if you’re like me, you’ll think twice about rubbing your face with something that has petroleum products in it. The four ingredients I mentioned above will help moisturize the skin and keep it soft and smooth.
My suggestion is that if you’re concerned about drying out your skin, look for sensitive skin facial moisturizers that contain the ingredients mentioned above. They’re gentle and will leave your skin soft and smooth without causing damage no matter how sensitive it is. Those with dry skin, however, may want to use something along side of these ingredients that will moisturize and bring it back to balance.
For example, some people have found that natural ingredients like Babassu, grapeseed oil and macadamia oil have kept their skin soft and healthy despite using cleansers and other products that were not designed for sensitive skin.
It’s willing to say that the best facial moisturizer for dry skin and sensitive skin is a product that contains Babassu wax, grape seed oil, maracuja passion fruit extract, palm oil and macadamia oil. That’s because these natural ingredients “lock in moisture” and don’t remove it like petroleum-based products do.
The best facial moisturizer for sensitive skin can be found online and is a product called Nourishing Day Cream with Moisture Strategies for Dry Skin. All of the ingredients are safe and contributed to the nourishing of the skin. Dry skin can be a big problem because it’s hard to soothe and moisturize without stripping the skin of its natural oils.
The day creams do not contain mineral oil, parabens or fragrance, just natural ingredients with vitamins and antioxidants. The moisturizers are different and you might want to check them out. They are some of the best on the market.
